Raptor Filter
Sand

Raptor Filter Sand is a high-purity silica sand designed for groundwater wells, municipal water systems, and filtration applications where consistent performance and material quality are critical. The product is processed to maintain a controlled particle-size distribution and consistent gradation, supporting reliable installation and long-term well performance.
The naturally rounded grain shape of Raptor Filter Sand promotes high porosity and permeability within the gravel pack. This allows groundwater to flow efficiently through the filter pack while helping to stabilize the surrounding formation and reduce the migration of formation fines into the well.
Raptor Filter Sand is NSF/ANSI 61 approved and produced with an emphasis on consistency and repeatability so the specified gradation is maintained from load to load. This supports predictable installation and field performance in municipal water wells, groundwater production wells, and related filtration applications.
Typical gradations include a range of sizes designed to match well screen slot openings and formation characteristics, allowing engineers and consultants to select a gravel pack that supports proper well development and long-term
production efficiency.
Raptor Filter Sand Portfolio
Raptor Filter
Hybrid

Raptor Filter Hybrid products are engineered blends that combine Raptor Filter Sand with Raptor Filter Beads to create a targeted gradation and performance profile for a given groundwater well design or water filtration application.
The core advantage of the Raptor Filter Hybrid line is blend flexibility—PW Gillibrand can develop custom filter pack gradations by adjusting both the size distribution and the percentage of beads included in the blend to achieve the intended overall particle-size curve for well gravel pack and well screen design requirements.
Typical Raptor Filter Hybrid gradations include 4×12, 4×16, and 4×8, with additional blend designs available when a project calls for tighter control over sizing and gradation consistency.
These Raptor Filter Hybrid blends are NSF/ANSI 61 approved and produced with an emphasis on consistency and repeatability so the specified gradation is maintained from load to load, supporting predictable installation and field results in municipal water wells, groundwater wells, and related filtration applications.
Raptor Filter
Beads

Raptor Filter Beads are round and spherical glass filtration media engineered for use in groundwater well filter packs, municipal water wells, injection wells, and other water filtration applications where a consistent, uniform media is required.
Standard bead sizes include 1.7 mm to 2.0 mm, 2.0 mm to 3.0 mm, and 3.0 mm to 4.0 mm, allowing designers to select a size range as the primary media. In addition to these standard ranges, PW Gillibrand can develop custom-sized bead gradations to align with project-specific design criteria.
Raptor Filter Beads are NSF/ANSI 61 approved, supporting use in drinking water systems. Raptor Filter Beads may be specified by size range to match project criteria for gradation, and screen slot-size compatibility.
